” … the wanderer moves in ultra slow-motion balancing a wooden branch on her shoulder … one foot in front of the other … again and again … step by step … the body moves continuously with the earth”
With the repetition of the step in slow-motion the performance reflects and set focus on presence, the infinite cycle of life and eternal spinning of the earth. It creates a meditative space for reflection and still. The branch balancing on the shoulder requires the presence of the performer in the predestined time. The performance is initially inspired by the work ‘Repetition’ (1843) by the danish philosopher Soren Kierkegaard.
